Nonlinear, fiction (nonfiction), non-narrative.
Documentary (mockumentary), comedy
(I have not decided whether to make this video fiction or nonfiction).
Length: 1-2 min
Target audience: teen to adult
Tagline: Open to interpretation
Treatment:
The first shot frames an abstract painting. Then the camera shows an art gallery from the point of view of the painting. It records different reactions visitors have to the painting. Their impressions are communicated through body language and conversation. Then again the shot of the painting. Then text on the screen quoting the artist with his thought on what the piece of art represents.
Visual:
Possible use of the IU gallery.

You could go either way with a concept like this. You could easily make the painting a character aond give it a voiceover or you could simply record the reactions of the gallery patrons. It would be interesting to use a provocative piece of art or a fake art piece as a basis for the reactions. This all is dependent on your angle. That is what's missing here. It's a great jumping off concept but you still need to decide what you want this to be.
ReplyDeleteI really like this concept of showing an art gallery from the perspective of the artwork. This could be a lot of fun to make - I'd love to see it!
